Needs and Challenges As we all know, the inaccuracy of underground tank gauges has always been a problem for petrol stations and oil companies. Volume gauge is not only related to the daily tank inventory measurement and quality and spillage management, but also one of the important factors affecting the handover of underground tanks. Our country's buried tanks are mostly one-time buried and long-term use, in the process of operation inevitably produce deformation, settlement, tilt and other phenomena, so that the tank volume table and factory there is a certain error. Even in the impermeable transformation of the newly buried tanks due to the tanks empty and buried after the load state is not the same and lead to the accuracy of the volume table is not enough. Against this background and demand, how to adopt a convenient way to calibrate underground tank gauges with as little impact on the normal business of petrol stations as possible has become a common challenge for the oil retail industry. The Solution Currently, tank gauges are mostly generated by means of tank gauges (semi-automatic calibration of high-flow dispenser pouring with liquid level meter), photoelectric distance measurement, and manual record correction, etc. These methods require a lot of manpower, and at the same time, there is a certain degree of safety risk in the operation if it involves moving oil, and what's more important is that it relies on the operation of the personnel to a high degree, and the quality of the calibration can not be fully guaranteed. For this reason, Qingdao Oket has been researching the calibration of volume meters using liquid level instruments since 2009, and after several generations of product iterations, it now has a set of perfect solutions for calibrating the volume meters of underground tanks. Relying on the existing equipment and facilities of the petrol station and the operation procedure, the solution can produce a tank gauge with an error of ±3‰ or less with on-site and remote data service. Customer Value In 2015, during the pilot project of deepening the application of liquid level meter in Hunan by Sinopec headquarters, Oket completed the calibration of tank volume meter for some petrol stations of Shaoyang and Zhuzhou of Sinopec Hunan. Oket portable flow meter was used for verification later, and the accuracy of the volumetric meter was within 0.3%. It meets the oil company's ground tank handover requirements, further reduces the oil company's loss and improves the quality management level. In 2016, Sinopec Hainan completed the installation of liquid level meters in all petrol stations across the province, and completed the calibration of the volumetric table at Chengmai Jiangbei Petrol Station using the liquid level meter platform, and verified that the difference between unloading and discharging oil was within a few tens of liters after unloading oil to meet the petroleum company's management requirements. Hainan Sinopec will make use of AOK liquid level meter platform for calibration of volumetric meter in the next step to promote it in all petrol stations in the province. The flowmeter calibration tank has been implemented by Qingdao AOK for the implementation of regional small batch and some special situations of the station's volume meter calibration method, its advantage is easy to operate, fast meter speed, only one unloading can be issued with a volume meter. Since its launch, it has received attention and support from oil companies and has been used in Jilin, Shandong, Hunan, Xinjiang, Chongqing and other regions. On 20 December 2017 AOK was invited by PetroChina Shaanxi Company to carry out the pilot demonstration and operation of calibration with flowmeter calibration tank V2.0 to Ximen gas station in Xi'an city of PetroChina Shaanxi Province and Fengjing gas station in Tuxian county of Xi'an city of PetroChina Shaanxi Province. During the calibration period, the leaders of Quality and Safety Department of the provincial company, the leaders of transport fleet, the leaders of Quality and Safety Department of Xi'an Company, the leaders of transport fleet and other related personnel attended the calibration demonstration, and all parties were very appreciative of the new system in the process of demonstration.The FA+ flow meter, together with the app canister calibration, can realize automation of unloading metering throughout the whole process, eliminate human interference, simplify the management of tanker truck transportation, and be a reliable basis for the collection of the number of the ground tanks handover. It is a reliable basis for receiving the quantity of ground tank handover, and effectively solves the metering disputes arising from the handover of ground tanks.
